For four fun-filled days, Greenville becomes “Greekville” as the magic of Greece comes to town. This “Glendi” or party will begin on Thursday, May 13th with authentic Greek food served in the Church’s Hellenic Center during lunch and dinner. Take-out orders for food and pastries will also be available throughout the weekend. Drive-thru lanes on Elford Street will also be available for take-out meals Thursday through Saturday; and FAX orders will be accepted for lunch both Thursday and Friday.

Our amphitheater will offer live Greek music and traditional folk dancing throughout the weekend. Dancers dressed in traditional costumes of the various regions and islands of Greece will perform authentic dances. Mouth-watering native Greek food will be abundant.

In addition to the food, we will explore the rich culture that only Greece has to offer. Hourly tours of our beautiful Greek Orthodox Cathedral will explore the mystical symbolism and history of the Eastern Orthodox faith. Discover this Apostolic Christian religion that dates back to 33 AD. See our beautiful mosaics and icons to learn the roles they play in the Church.

Booths will offer imported jewelry, arts and crafts from Greece for you to take home.

A children’s ride area will ensure the entire family enjoys their virtual visit to this ancient land.
