The menu is designed to give the best food of the Greeks and it is tantalizing! Remember, Greece comes to Greenville once a year. The delicious lamb, the pastichio and the dolmades that melt in your mouth are back again to lift your spirits and to send your mood soaring!

Served in the dining area of Hellenic Center all day.

ROAST LAMB - Slowly roasted in the traditional Greek style. Served with Manestra (rice pilaf). Sensational!

CHICKEN ATHENIAN - Delicately seasoned and cooked with Greek lemon-butter sauce.

ePASTICHIO - Alternate layers of macaroni, grated cheeses and sautéed ground beef; topped with a rich cream sauce and baked to perfection.

DOLMADES - Stuffed Grape Leaves - Delicious meat and rice, seasoned with a blend of Grecian spices, and wrapped in grape leaves.

GREEK POTATOES - A simple, but tested recipe of oregano, garlic and butter make these incredibly delicious.

qTIROPITA - Triangles of fillo pastry filled with a mixture of feta cheese and baked to a buttery golden brown.

wSPANIKOPITA - Thin sheets of pastry layered with spinach and feta cheese - the ultimate spinach pie!

hGREEK SALAD - A fresh blend of lettuce, tomatoes and onions topped with feta cheese and Calamata olives. A must for any Greek meal.

KEFTETHES - Greek meatballs

MANESTRA - Mediterranean pilaf

MOUSSAKA - Layers of potato, eggplant and ground beef, seasoned with onion, a little tomato, seasonings and topped with a Bechamel sauce.

GREEK GREEN BEANS - Combination of green beans, Greek herbs, spices and tomato sauce.

 

GREEK PASTRIES
kGreek pastries are a delicacy that can't be found just anywhere. Whether you are looking for traditional baklava, or you've moved up to the creamy custard ––like galaktoboureko –– the Greenville Greek Festival is the only place you'll find a true selection of extra ordinary unique, fine sweets.

Each year the ladies of the Greek Orthodox community bake from sunup to sundown for weeks to produce these excellent pastries using the finest ingredients. They are available in the Hellenic Center and outside. So you promised the family a full box of sweets? Bet you don't make it home without opening the box and sampling one or two.

Tsoureki/Breads -- 1,000 loaves of the Greek sweet bread baked especially for the Greek festival. Great with feta cheese and Greek coffee.

Baklava - A rich, baked dessert prepared with many layers of thin buttered pastry sheets, nuts, spices and honey syrup.

dKourambedes - Butter cookie covered with confectioner's sugar; the Greek version of the wedding cookie.

Koulourakia - Delicious butter cookie, not too sweet, twisted into pretty shapes, brushed with egg yolk wash and baked.

Dipless - Sweet, crisp folds of thin rolled pastry dough, deep fried to delicate perfection and topped with syrup, cinnamon and nuts.

Kataifi - Delicately shredded dough with chopped nuts and honey syrup.

Loukoumades - The ultimate doughnut, light and airy, served warm, dipped in honey with a dash of cinnamon (served in our outside booth).

fFenikia (Melomacarona) - A delicious, oval-shaped cookie dipped in honey and rolled in nuts.

gGalatoboureko - A delectable custard dessert baked between their pastry sheets and covered in syrup.

Amygthalota - Almond Cookies.

SOUVLAKI (Kalamaki) - Succulent morsels of marinated pork tenderloin (or Chicken) grilled to perfection and served on skewer with French bread.

GYROS - [pronounced YEE-ROHs] Tender slices of seasoned beef, lamb or chicken served on grilled pita bread with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce. Vegetable Gyro available.
