| Copied from the icon 'Bogomater Fedorovskaya with miracles'. 'Fedorovskaya' is one of the variations of Bogomateri Umilenie (mother of tenderness). According to legend this icon appeared to Prince Vasiliy Yaroslavovitch Kostromskoi in a forest. The icon was taken to Kostroma where, because of its miraculous intercession, the invading tatars were defeated. |
