SCHEDULE
Children's Group (3, 4, and 5 year old): Tuesday May 13th outside on stage
Juniors (1st - 3rd): Tuesday May 13th outside on stage
Advanced Juniors (4th - 6th): Tuesday May 13th outside on stage
Seniors (7th - 9th): Thursday May 15th 5:30 - 6:30 outside on stage
Advanced Seniors (10th - 12th) and Adult Festival: Saturday May 10th 11 AM - 3:00 PM with lunch; Thursday May 15th 6:30 - 8:30 PM on stage
SENIORS/ADVANCED SENIORS/ADULTS - FESTIVAL HELP!
All seniors, advanced seniors, and adults are asked to help out with salad dressing and pastries this Saturday May 10th. We will be starting around 9:30 AM. Advanced Seniors, please plan to stay after dance for a while to help out. Adults, please plan to come at 9:30 AM or plan to stay after practice for a while to help out. Seniors, please come by 10:30 AM or before to help out.
Costume Needs for Festival
Senior: White Tights, black dance shoes, white T-shirt. Hair should be in a low pony-tail and braded if possible
Advanced Senior Girls: White Tights, black dance shoes, white T-shirt (under costume), slip that reaches the knee, black pants, white shirt for Tavern and Pontic. Hair should be in a low pony-tail and braded if possible
Advanced Senior Boys: White Tights, black dance shoes, white T-shirt (under costume), black pants, white button down shirt (you may need several, used for 4 shows [tavern, pontic, thrace, apokrias), black belt, black socks, and neck tie
Advanced Junior Girls: White Tights, black dance shoes, white T-shirt, slip that reaches the knee. Hair should be in a low pony-tail and braded if possible
Advanced Junior Boys: White T-shirt, White tights (evzone costume only), black dance shoes, white socks (Epiros costume [one with cream color pants] or black socks (macedonian costume [one with black pants]).
Children and Juniors are to provide their own costume. If you do not have one and can't find one to borrow, please contact Haido.
FESTIVAL RULES
1. Please be in the dressing getting ready 1 hour before show time (1 1/2 hour for Advanced Senior Girls Thrace). We will line up in the downstairs hall 15 minutes before show time.
2. You are not allowed in the dressing rooms unless dressing for a show.
3. Any in the Children's, Junior's, or Troupe Palikaria must have a parent with them at all time in the dressing rooms.
4. ABSOLUTLEY NO FOOD OR DRINKS ARE ALLOWED IN THE DRESSING ROOM AT ANY TIME - NO EXCEPTIONS!
5. No one other than dancer group memebers and parents are allowed in the dressing rooms. Friend and family memebers can meet you in the downstairs hall if necessary.

PURPOSE
To bring our youth together in Orthodox Christian fellowship and to afford them the opportunity to live, learn and experience our Hellenic culture. The Spirit of Orthodoxy is to stand before all other elements.
OBJECTIVES
1. To
develop an awareness and appreciation for our Hellenic and Orthodox
culture and tradition.
2. To teach and learn Hellenic folk dances with
special attention and concern on the authenticity of movement
and music.
3. To relate to dances other elements of Hellenic
folklore, such as costume, folk songs, folk instruments,
etc.
4. To link Hellenic folk dances to their historical,
social and traditional context.
5. To learn to love to dance the Hellenic folk dances
and feel it in your heart and soul.

Rules and Regulations
1. Each dancer is required to attend
every practice.
2. Attendance will be taken at each practice. If an absence is anticipated,
please be courteous and inform the instructors. Absenteeism of 3
consecutive times from practice will result on non-performance status
and will prohibit your advancement.
3. You will be allowed to miss 6 practices this year. 3 of those
absences will be from Sept. 7th to Jan 30th. You are expected to
be at every practice during the month of February to prepare for
competition. The other 3 allowed absences will be from March 1st
to May 17th. This year we will have a new dance program for seniors
for festival so it is important that you make the practices.
4. Your attitude, enthusiasm, and responsibility are among the important
factors considered on you advancement aside from your dance skills.
5. All dancers are required to aid and participate in fundraisers.
6. Any form of ill behavior or bad attitude at a performance, dance
or chorus practice will result in non-performance status.
7. Misconduct and disturbances during dance or chorus practice will
not be tolerated.
8. DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES: A dancer will be given 3 warnings for
misbehaving during dance or chorus practice.
1st WARNING: Instructors will speak with misbehaving dancer.
2nd WARNING: Instructors will speak with parents and dancer.
3rd WARNING: Instructors, parents and dancers will meet with Father
Tom.
If the behavior of the dancer does not change after the 3 warnings
than that individual will be terminated from the Adelphia dance troupe.
9. Always respect your fellow dancers, all adults and your instructors.
10. Tardiness is not only rude, it interrupts practice. You must
always try to be on time.
11. Dancers should always wear proper clothing and footwear (tennis
shoes or dance shoes).
12. NO CHEWING GUM. During dance or chorus practice and performance.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
This year our dance troupe will have elections
for officers. These officers will come from the Senior troupe. We
will elect a President, Vice-President, Secretary. The officers will
assist instructors with the running of the dance troupe.
The President’s duties will be as follows:
1. Making sure all rules and regulations are adhered to by all dancers.
2. Represent troupe at Festival committee meetings.

The Vice-President’s duties will be as follows:

The Secretary’s duties will be a follows:
1. Coordinate changes on website with approval of instructors as
needed.
